Alec is an experienced litigator who works in the firm’s entertainment and commercial litigation practices. During his career, Alec has worked on a variety of high-stakes litigation matters in several areas, including complex commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, employment litigation, real estate litigation and fiduciary disputes. Before joining Tesser | Grossman, Alec litigated in State and Federal Courts in California, and served as in-house counsel for Creative Artists Agency.

Alec graduated from the University of Miami School of Law where he received both a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Laws in Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law.  Alec received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Science in Leadership for the Creative Enterprises from Northwestern University.  These experiences have allowed Alec to develop a unique perspective on modern litigation, where he consistently achieves desired outcomes for his amazing clients.

Alec currently lives in Brentwood with his wife. In his free time, Alec enjoys travelling, camping, and catching a performance at the LA Philharmonic and Geffen Theater.

Representative Matters

  • Represented and successfully defended rock legend and original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley in a multimillion-dollar palimony action brought by his ex-fiancé.
  • Represented and received a favorable jury verdict for entertainment audio engineer in his suit against former partners for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. Following the favorable verdict, the matter was resolved for over $1,000,000.
  • Represented commercial real estate developer in suit against private equity firm, broker and competitor for misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of implied contract. The matter was resolved confidentially and out-of-court, to the satisfaction of both parties.
  • Represented and successfully defended commercial real estate developer and investor against suit by former partners for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, quiet title and specific performance. Successfully expunged the Lis Pendens on the property, inducing a favorable confidential settlement to the satisfaction of both parties.
  • Represented tv and film producer in suit against former partners for their failure to provide a screen credit on film that grossed over $350 million. The matter was resolved confidentially and out-of-court to the satisfaction of both parties.
  • Represented international film financier and producer in suit against former partners for their failure to provide a screen credit. The matter was resolved confidentially and out-of-court to the satisfaction of both parties.
